The Who, What and Where of Carrowmena…

Opened in March 2009 by award-winning entrepreneur Charlotte Miller as a new and unique activity centre offering budget accommodation for all. Charlotte is passionate about the outdoors and has a young and enthusiastic staff who bring lots of energy to the centre.

Carrowmena Activity Centre & Hostel was originally built back in 1936 as Carrowmena Primary School with just 35 pupils and 2 teachers. Since it has re-opened as Carrowmena Activity Centre and Hostel, it has been nominated for Roe Valley Business Awards 2010,’Best Rural Business’. Charlotte herself has been nominated for ‘Young Entrepreneur’ & ‘Female Entrepreneur’ awards, and in 2011 Charlotte won ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’.

Carrowmena Activity Centre & Hostel lies in an area of outstanding natural beauty at the foot of Binevenagh in the beautiful Roe Valley. Based on the outskirts of Limavady along the Causeway Coastal Route, just 1 hour drive from Belfast.
