Downhill Beach

The golden sands at Downhill beach stretch down through benone strand to Magilligan Point with a glorious mountain backdrop and a picturesque view of the 18th century Mussenden Temple proudly cresting the cliff top. The beach is a wonderful area of natural beauty, on cliff top the temple and downhill Castle present a beautiful location where you can overlook counties Antrim and Londonderry and gaze across the bay at the beautiful Donegal Coast and hills.
Mussenden Temple

Frederick Hervey, Bishop of Derry, had an appetite for drama and chose a wild coastal headland for a mansion and temple. The mansion is in ruins but the landscape park remains. Follow paths through the sheltered gardens or along the cliff tops for views of the North Coast. On a cliff top, he built the circular Mussenden Temple as a library, imitating the Temple of Vesta in Tivoli.
Binevenagh

Binenvenagh is situated in an ‘Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ and is renowned for its impressive cliffs that provide a perfect alpine cliff ledge for many rare plants and mosses. It is home also to a standing stone that has become known as the Finn MacCool Finger Stone, relating to the famous giant reputed to have lived in the area many years ago.
Roe Valley Country Park

Roe Valley Country Park is a spectacular woodland park in the home town of the famous song ‘Danny Boy’. It is a naturally beautiful location, with the surging river roe running through it, where you can find peace & tranquility, historical interest, or a wide range of action activities. In the park you will find a museum, a visitors centre, a cafe, forest walks, riverside rambles, salmon and trout fishing, rock climbing, abseiling and canoeing, take in the sights and discover the legends of the irish clans who lived there. Lough Foyle Ferry

The Lough Foyle car and passenger ferry takes only 20 minutes to cross from Magilligan point in Co. Londonderry to Greencastle in Co. Donegal. You can view the picturesque Donegal hills from Magilligan point or you can take the short trip to the ferry, which runs continuously throughout the day, and cross to the Irish Republic and tour the hills and the beautiful and quaint coastal towns. Sailings operate 365 days a year. Disability access.
Historic Walls of Derry

A walk around the walls in Londonderry reveals a splendid city crammed full of history, heritage, interest and a vibrant cultural scene.
Derry (Londonderry) is the only remaining completely walled city in Ireland and one of the finest examples of Walled Cities in Europe. The Walls were built during the period 1613-1618 by the honourable, the Irish Society as defences for early seventeenth century settlers from England and Scotland.
Causeway Coastal Route

The Giants Causeway Coast and Antrim Glens, an area of unsurpassed beauty, a unique fusion of tangible heritage and magnificent scenery. An area whose breathtaking and rugged coastline merges into the romantic landscape of its deep silent glens and lush forest parks.
