Night Maize Maze is now open & is busy busy……
Yes guys it’s the time of Year for the ‘Night Maize Maze’
Unfortunately there will be no Day Maize Maze this year due to the bad weather the crop encountered at the start and during it’s growth. We hope to run the Night Maize Maze until the middle of October weather permitting.
1 track in & 1 track out…..will you choose the correct path or will you be lost in the deep dark depth of the Maize Maze!!!! With more dead ends and mind confusing paths this is sure to be the best Maize Maze to date!!!!
Dates & Opening Times (NB not the same every week)
As we get a lot of groups in for the ‘Night Maize Maze’ each night will have different times for different groups, see below:
Night Maize Maze – Fridays Nights…..
Friday 25 Sep – Families 7pm – 8pm, Youth & Adults 8pm – 9.30pm
Friday 2 Oct – Families 7pm – 8pm, Youth & Adults 9pm – 10pm (NB times changes)
Friday 9 Oct – Families 7pm – 8pm, Youth & Adults 8pm – 9.30pm
Friday 16 Oct – Families 7pm – 8pm, Youth & Adults 8pm – 9.30pm
Price – £3.50pp or £12per Family (up to 5 persons)
NB Families need to be out before 8pm to allow the Youth & Adults in from 8pm onwards…..
NB if under the age of 14 years there must be an adult to accompany in the Maize Maze
NB youths must be picked up before 9.50pm as centre closes @ 10pm
Group Times:
- Groups must book in advance & have filled out a ‘Booking Form’ contact office on 028 7776 3431 or email info@carrowmena.co.uk
- On booking Groups will be allocated a 1.5 hour slot from start to finished, if members are not out within the given time slot groups leader must go & help them to exit the Maize Maze
- Price – £3.50pp
What to Bring:
- Wellies or old trainers
- Old clothing
- Water proof jacket
- Torch
- Money for snack shop
- Sense of adventure…………..
Maize Maze Rules:
This is a working farm so you ‘MUST’ adhere to the below rules:
- Participants MUST stick to paths @ ALL time, failure to do so will result in you being asked to leave the site
- Corn is not to be removed from the Maize Maze field, if seen to be doing so you will be asked to leave the site
- No Smoking onsite
- No littering onsite
- No Alcohol or Drugs to be brought or consumed onsite
- Participants must stick together in groups at all times
- 1 entry per person
- Groups must be out within their 1 hour slot
- Under 14 years must be accompanied by an adult
- Participants must let a member of Carrowmena staff know they have exited the Maize Maze
Terms & Conditions:
The Maize Maze is located on a working farm which may contain inherent risks:
- The Maize Maze is in a field so appropriate clothing must be worn, ie wellies, old clothes, water proof jacket & bring a torch
- Risks include tripping & slipping in the muck & rain, getting lost in the dark (bring torch)
- 1 hour time slot for the Maize Maze will be given for each group
- Groups – If participants are under the age of 14 years they will require 1 leader with each group
- Groups of 20 + persons can book their 1 hour time slot any night of the week (apart from a Sunday) @ £3.50pp, if numbers are less we require a fixed payment of £70.
- Under 14 years must be accompanied by an adult
- If group members are not out of the Maize Maze within their allocated time slot group leaders must go & help them exit the Maize Maze
- Anyone seen to be causing danger to other participants will be asked to leave
Maize Maze Volunteering Sep & Oct 2015……
Hi guys, as you know this is the time of year for the ‘Night Maize Maze’, we are looking for Volunteers to help out on Friday Nights for the next month.
You must be over the age of 14 year & be responsible for helping persons lost in the Night Maize Maze, this can lead to volunteering for the activities then a possible Summer Job that all your friends will want!!!
